Terms and Conditions
At EADT & G it is our intention to offer a stress-free grooming experience for you and your dog. To do this, I would ask that you kindly read the following:
Dogs’ well-being
* Please ensure that your dog has been given the opportunity to toilet and have a walk if appropriate prior to their groom as this will help ensure that they are more comfortable and get the maximum enjoyment from their grooming experience.
* Please advise of any medical, physical, emotional issues, allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions and any treatment they are receiving prior to grooming taking place. Such as prior surgeries, joint issues, warts, skin tags, ear infections and skin problems.
* If we discover any conditions or problems, we will notify you when you collect your dog, or in urgent cases will contact you immediately. EADT & G cannot be held responsible for any conditions or problems discovered during grooming or associated treatments.
*Please ensure your dog is free from any parasites before attending. If any dog has fleas or other parasites, then an appropriate tick or flea prevention will be advised and you may be liable for the cost of additional cleaning or flea bombs.
* We will not perform any grooming procedure that your dog does not tolerate or which causes pain or a level of stress that we deem excessive. In some situations, this can include nail trimming.
Matting
* A matted coat can cause numerous health conditions, trapping moisture and pulling on the dog’s skin, which can cause skin irritations, soreness and itching. Removing a heavily matted coat increases risks of nicks and abrasions as well as haematomas. EADT & G will not be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions due to a matted coat.
* If your pet is heavily matted, there is only so much we can do, under the Animal Welfare Act we are not allowed to spend more than 15 minutes brushing out matting due to the undue stress and pain this can cause. The coat will therefore need to be cut short underneath the matting, which will enable us to start over with undamaged hair at the next agreed appointment. This will also incur an additional £10.00 matting fee to cover sharpening of our equipment.
* If we are unable to complete a full groom due to excessive matting, or your dog being too stressed EADT & G reserves the right to stop the groom and request that an additional appointment is made for such work to be completed. All additional work will be at the expense of the owner.
Temperament & Behaviour
* If your dog has behaviour problems, please inform us when the appointment is made.
* Additional charges may apply for extra time required due to a dog’s temperament or behaviour during a groom, due to matting or if an extra member of staff is required to assist with any groom.
* You, as the owner agree to be held solely liable for any harm, injury or damaged caused by your dog and any costs thereafter incurred.
Cancellations
*Appointments can be cancelled or rearranged up to 48 hours prior, any changes after this time or no shows will be charged at 50% of the groom price.
